About Artist & Art Details
Marcus Oleniuk is a world class photographer, commissioned to document the St Davids Peninsula in Pembrokeshire, over the course of a year.
He spent much of that year (2012 to 2013) living at the newly restored Roch Castle, from which he was able to explore and capture the Pembrokeshire landscape and its’ residents.
The result is ‘Pebidiog’, a coffee table book trilogy which includes Tarddiad (Beginning), Teulu (Belonging), Trigo (Being),
Pebidiog is the ancient name given to one of the westernmost parts of Wales, known today in English as ‘North West Pembrokeshire’.
