Then, on Wednesday 30th September, 12pm–3pm, explore Twr y Felin Hotel’s original windmill tower and uncover more about its fascinating past.

A Glimpse into Our History

Roch Castle was originally built in the late 12th century by Norman knight Adam de Rupe, its name deriving from the French word for rock. Perched dramatically on a volcanic outcrop, the castle served as both a fortified stronghold and a family home, with commanding views across the Preseli Hills and St Brides Bay. Over the centuries, it witnessed conflicts between the Normans and the Welsh, and later fell into ruin before being carefully restored. Today, it stands as a striking landmark of Pembrokeshire’s rich and turbulent past.
