About Roch Castle
Originally built in the 12th century, Roch Castle has stood for centuries as one of Pembrokeshire’s most striking landmarks. Perched dramatically on a volcanic rock outcrop, it was strategically positioned to command sweeping views across the landscape and coastline, serving as both a fortress and a symbol of power.
Over time, the castle has undergone many transformations, each reinvention preserving its legacy while adapting it for a new chapter. Restored from ruin, it eventually became a residence and later a unique heritage retreat. Today, Roch Castle is a luxurious hotel blending ancient architecture with modern comfort, offering an intimate escape within six beautifully appointed bedrooms and panoramic spaces that celebrate its extraordinary history.
